Cookies Cookies COOKIES!!!!!

Greetings All!!!
    One of the joys that I find necessary for an exciting Christmas tradition is Cookie Decorating. I definitely feel that I went all out this year. Twice! Once at my Grandparents house and again today at home. So...Much...FUN!!!! Not only is it relaxing, but I get to get all creative with it. So...Much....FUN!!!!!

I did these ones. Plus a few others, but they weren't worthy of featuring. If you are asking yourself, 'Is that a purple stocking?' my answer to you is yes.......yes it is.
If you are asking yourself, 'Is that a rainbow Christmas tree?' my answer to you is yes.....yes it is!!!

The year is coming to an end

    Greetings and salutations friends! It is I, Addyson!!!
    Christmas is here and the world is full of both chaos and cheer! Things have been so busy. I have been working at a new job for 4 months now and am still there. Praise the Lord!
    I have been working on my drawings. I am developing some new characters which has been quite the task, but super fun. I have been working on Amaris! I think she is going to be a lunar queen. I kind of have a back story for her, but not totally. Here are some pictures of her development.

    As you can see, she is still being worked on.

Next I did this picture just for fun.


Next I did a Queen Character also just for fun.


I ended up liking this Queen so much that I wanted to develop her further. So I reworked the concept and added a back story.


She is now a print and will be available for purchase after Christmas.

    Lets see. What else. Other than trying to get ready for Christmas there isn't really anything else going on.

Shape Exercise

The requirement was to draw 3 objects using a circle, square, and triangle for each object. I had to draw each shape three times. Here is what I came up with.

What's up guys!!! So I'm doing a art course online called Ultimate Guide to Digital Sketching:Beginner to Advanced. So far it's pretty interesting. The first assignment he had us do was to come up with inspiration for some lines he pre-drew. The rule was that we couldn't erase the line. We had to use it in our drawing. 😂 Here is what I came up with.

    What do you do when you are stuck and having a hard time coming up with something, but you know you  have to draw today? YOU DOODLE!!!!!!! Doodling is an excellent way to figure stuff out. You draw even when you don't know what you are drawing and when someone passes you by and says,"What the heck is that?" you can be real with them and say,"What does it look like?" Then

they tell you and that's what it becomes. *Boom* That was my mike🎤 drop. 😂😂😂😂

Let's Chat

What's up guys!!!

    What shall we talk about. Oh I know. I find it very interesting where a person can find inspiration.
    An example of this would be, I finished a long day at work. I'm tired and not feeling very inspired to do any drawing. So I lay on the floor and doze off for a bit. It was more of a half doze because I woke up and was still exhausted, but lo and behold.......Inspiration hit me. I got up, went to my white board and drew a thumb nail. This is what I drew.

Now if this isn't inspiring....I don't know what is. I decided that I would take this inspiration and run with it. 

Lets get to work. 

I'm doing digital painting for this one because I think it would look really cool.

I'm starting with the chair. Everything is in layers so that it is easier to maneuver and change only one object if I don't like it.

I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Let's Catch Up!

    Hey guys. First of all let me acknowledge a couple of things. Yes, it's been a while since I've posted (I apologize) and yes, it is not Monday. That's okay!!!!! I'm posting anyway.
    I'm not going to waste time with excuses because  nobody wants to hear that so lets just dive right in.

 Here is my latest picture that I finished not too long ago. It is done in color pencil.

Here  is a progress picture I'm working on now. This one  is also in color pencil.

I haven't forgotten my raccoon pal! Here is what he looks like so far. He's getting there. There is still a lot to do with that one.

 I'm definitely learning a lot from these projects and I get quite excited when I am able to apply what I learn to help me through tough spots.

Let the New Year Begin!!!

Hello Hello,
    I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and a great New Years day! Last year was crazy and I'm expecting this year to be no exception. I took a huge break from blogging and then I just didn't find the motivation to come back. I have decided, however; to give it a new start for the New Year and see how it goes. I am going to continue with the Monday uploads and see where that goes.
